We had our world championship game of skate. it was amazing! Adam Emery of Modesto and new Boardroom team rider won the
$1000. We raised close to $2000 for the Captiola Skate Park, had three bands, huge raffle and great food.

Below that is Novak showing Rick Blackhart the original NHS offices above the Boardroom. Cab made it, Novak and Scott Foss photo booth. The crowd was thick, free food, drinks, huge raffle, free redbull and Vitamin Water. Great nite.

Last night we had some Boardroom Race team drivers on KSCO radio for the Driver's Seat radio show.
This kid Cody Cody called into the show to say how he dreams of racing someday. Well later in the show
I said if he called back in I would give him one of our old cars, and he did! Cody is so stoked! Charlie Roper
and I are going to doll it up and deliver it to him next week. Good times!
We are now carrying Ladera decks and complete skateboards, they are really nice quality, stop by and see.

We donated a new Ozzie Wright Santa Cruz Surfboard to the Capitola Jr. Guards today. Here is Greg Madsen from the Guards riding home with the goods. He only lives 2 blocks away. The board is for their awards this Friday night.

They came by the shop and we set up a skate jam out back. Nike took our team guys Cody, Camilo, Jesse, Marley, Jeff, Thomas,

We had a great weekend and what a busy shoe sale! we needed to make room for alll the new Lakai and DVS shoes
coming in, as well as the new stuff from Sole Tech, Nike, Globe, and VOX. We still have some $25 shoes in the sale rack,
come on down and check that stuff out. Also, the new Koston Indy Forged hollow trucks are in and are amazing.
Well, it is June soon, and it looks like December outside, can someone please tell summer we are ready to get hot!

This meeting is for anyone who wants to voice there opinion of what they would like to see at the Rispin mansion site. The more people we have there in favor of a skate park, the better....spread the word! sorry for not posting lately, busy with remodel and a trip to So cal.

Last night we remodeled the shoe wall, moved it back 4 feet and raised over a foot. It is so amazing how this added space totally changed the look of the shoe dept. Next week Nike delivers our new Nike wall, with lite boxes, flatscreen, built in lighting, and oh so pretty. The Boardroom just might be called the "Santa Cruz Boardroom and Shoe Store"

Yesterday Steve Caballero visted the Boardroom and signed a few decks. It was good to see him. We still have 4 Cab original deck art he painted for sale here, all 4 were Powell decks, $450 each.
The shot below is Sid Melvin attempting to beat the record time in the "Grip Tape Challenge" he did amazing, with a score of 48 seconds (including his penalties for mistakes) Sid is now in 5th place all time Santa Cruz Boardroom Grip Tape Challenger, nicely done Sid!

We just took 3 car loads of team riders to the Monster Skate Contest at the A Town Skatepark in Atascadero. The indoor park was a perfect venue since it was raining. There was some really good skating going down and the sponsored division was stacked. Cody Chapman who rides for the Boardroom as well as an employee won the sponsored division with an incredible run, everyone was so stoked on his flawless and insane final. Marley Humphrey another Boardroom team member won the un-sponsored division and was the youngest in his division. Marley, only 10 years old is ripping and I can't imagine how good he'll be in a few years. Great event, great skating, new friends, and thank you KPC for hosting a killer day.

We were stoked to talk surf, art and biz while checking out the Boardroom museum. Here is Drew with his van he painted, he's traveling with his wife and son.

Jeff was able to get the Excalibur wheel off this Indy Hanger. Twenty kids and tried without any luck, 2 broken unit tools,
Jeff is now a legend and takes home the hanger and a set of used 60mm Bones, well done.

Our friend Nic helped build a mini ramp in Uganda. He goes there every year and helps the kids with skateboards and construction on the
"park". This year they organized a skate contest and the Boardroom was the sponsor. We donated skateboards, wheels and goodies.
First prize was a Goat, second a Turkey and third a Chicken. Here is a couple pics

Last night we held the Freeline Design vs. Santa Cruz Boardroom poker tourny. We are happy to announce that Boardroom won and will keep the trophy until further notice! It was a great time, John Mel won the cash, but Boardroom is the champs. Below is the start of the night.

Steve Berra and some of his Berrics crew stopped by the shop today for a tour of our skateboard museum. It was an amazing visit, Steve Berra is a Boardroom hero and we are super stoked they came by. Thanks guys and next time through we are having a backyard mini ramp bbq.

Our friend Robert just got back from a 15 day fishing trip on the Royal Star out of San Diego. He brought us a bunch of fresh fish and the most amazing Yellow Fin jerky in the world. Sounded like a great trip, Robert is such a cool dude, always bringing cold beers and fresh fish to us. This one was like 285lbs.
